Do you want to geek out with me for a little while? Get ready. This is going to be an epic ramble of some of my favorite books, movies, and TV shows. My love of science fiction & fantasy started at a young age. Maybe that's why it made such an impression on me. The very first Fantasy book that I picked up was The Last Battle, by C.S Lewis . It is the last book in the Chronicles of Narnia series. I will always remember the moment that I spotted the book at the local library. Its a memory that is vividly etched into my mind; reaching up, pulling the book off the self, holding it in my hands. The cover was fantastic - a gorgeous unicorn with blood dripping down his horn. How funny that my journey into the realm of fantasy began with an ending. I soon learned that The Last Battle belonged to a series. I went back to the beginning, to book one, The Magicians Nephew . Pretty soon I had devoured all seven books. And read each one at least three or four times. An

Hi! My name is Elle and I am a debut author. My first book, Dark Touch, will be releasing at the end of this year. It is book one of the Glass Star Trilogy.  Books are so much more to me than mere stories. I believe that they are vitally important. Books entertain. They expand the imagination. They introduce us to incredible characters and new places. And they provide a refuge for minds and souls that need an escape.  I see them as beacons of light that continuously shine in a world that can sometimes seem dim and bleak. They are dear to me. Books are apart of my heart and soul. And it is the greatest honor to be published.  It is a privilege to create a new world for readers to enjoy. It is something that I do not take lightly. The love that a reader has for a book, that bond to characters and a story...damn, it's so special. As a long time reader, I understand. I know that feeling.
